The layout on my tumblr is just a constant stream of images. Although I quite like the presentation of my work like that. A lot of the images lack the merit to be presented alone and the amount of content I post would be greatly reduced if I only posted my best stuff. I don't have a facebook but I like to have my blog as a rolling slideshow of what I've been upto, if only for myself to scroll through.
Maybe I should switch to a single image per page?
I'd say no. I'm in the same boat as you, very self limited amount of social media/stimuli online, so as a preferential form of consumption, I get, and prefer your approach. A scrolling story builds context as far as my eyeballs can see. Picture is worth a thousand words blah blah. Bollocks. Thousand wasted words maybe. If someone is spending time looking at your work, they're more likely to build narrative if you help them along. Editing ain't just bustin' out photoshopz yo!
What's yo blog?
Also, Flickr is doing as those in control are trying to do, which is get back into the game. I.e Yahoo. Meaning the whole platform is moving away from those that consider themselves beyond amateurs. 1TB of data = Slap dem baby pics up on right there, whats that? The kitchen sink? Yeah that too! (A pro is far far more selective and doesn't need that much in the long term)
Just as Instagram lost all those users, whats that? Flickr app has a major overhaul a couple of days after! Let's GO! Now Tumblr. Can't be angry at their UI change. They are a business.
Personally I'm supporting and hoping for this: http://tryghost.org/features.html
