This thread is rubbish - it doesn't deliver. I've asked about 5 questions and got no answers. I want my money back or else.

Is this thread any good ?

No, it really is rubbish. I recommend the ride-by punching one instead.

Good answers require good questions.

^^^^^ Maybe it is your questions that are no good?
Have you tried googling the last one?
Looks like the standard uk threading from a brief search.

Is there much difference between the various shimano hollowtech 2 bottom brackets? They're all the same compatibility right, so what's the cheapest one that's still good value, deore, tiagra, 105?

Is this record or chorus? Velobase has let me down.

It's whatever you want it to be.

BB-5700 is only about £15, doesn't seem worth going down the 4600 to save a pound or two.

Spare parts diagrams should be on Campagnolo.com for those, have you looked at them?

Top bearing race is stuck on carbon steerer. Best way to loosen it without causing damage?
-
• #45943
I assume this is due to the nut expanding the steerer?

Can't find anything there, just tried a bit harder on velobase and worked it out though. Cheers :)
And fuck you, oz the enigmatic wizard of the AQA thread.

Having ridden both I'd be hard pushed to tell them apart. I guess the decision comes down to whether you can be bothered with tubs or not.
This means I am sticking with Ellipses.
It's dissapointing that my road wheelset worth just under £350 (RS80) is so much better than my track wheelset that's worth £350. -

Having had both, I wouldn't necessarily draw that conclusion. It's horses for courses, and I'd rather have Ellipses on the track than RS80-C24+Surly Fixxer, but then on the road I'd rather have RS80 than Cosmic Elite, which is the road wheel from which the Ellipse is derived.

Why?
Of all the electric assisted bikes out there Giant make the best ones. They've taken a bike then added the batteries and motors afterwards. Many of the cheaper ones don't use known branded parts and have massively long chainstays as they wedge the battery in between the wheel and the seattube. They're pretty good to ride. The assisted only to 15mph is a legal thing - it's have to be taxed and tested if it powered you faster. They're pretty good off the lights but so many people use the power of the motor to get them from the lights instead of letting it assist them to a nice cruising speed. People would probably call you a know but for somewhere with a lot of traffic lights etc I'd say they're great.
