I just bought an Eddy Merckx Professional frame from ebay and I
m looking for some wheels for it. I read the last 10 pages of this thread and Im just as lost as I was before.This will be my road bike, but as you can guess from the frame, I`m not going to be doing any racing. I want a classic looking hub+rims+tyre combo. I currently have campagnolo record LF (32) + TB14 + Gum Wall Paselas in my FG, and I really like how they look and ride, but I would like something different for the road bike.
I weight 62kgs, want to build the wheels myself, and don´t want to spend more than £400 + tyres, ideally. What are your recomendations?
