Maybe a bit premature, but was riding my Olmo (that will most probably join me in Tuscany) earlier and got to thinking that I'd do well to change the gearing. It's 13-18 (6sp) on the back and the small ring is 42T. Ouch. The gruppo is all Nuovo Record.

(To those that have ridden the route before) - what kid of gearing were you on, and how much of a *spaccagamba** did it turn out to be?
Anyone know how big a cog I can get away with on a NR rear derailleur?
