Still waiting for my reply to be confirmed
Is that it? Let's hope Everton aren't as off their game on Sunday.

Benitez has just said that there will not be a draw on Sunday. Presumably he means that if we are drawing and threatened with the possibility of a play off against Arsenal, he will put Benyoum on to ensure we lose.

• #81833
He gifts you 3rd place and a Europa win you still whinge.

• #81834
^ This. But it is equally a statement as to the brilliance of skinnyoum.
-
• #81835
We haven't got third or even fourth place yet. If we lose 8-0 and Tottenham win 8-0 we will be defending our trophy.

True supporter in that he had gone to the ground to watch the match. Met some Portuguese supporters who had bought their plane tickets as soon as Befica went out of the Champions League. Plenty of them there. Many in half and half scarves. The neutral sections saved for the "UEFA family" of 30,000 people seemed to contain more Chelsea than Benfica. On the television last night watching the game on CTV,** it seemed that we were the louder group apart from a couple of occasions**, despite playing woefully and leaving everyone with the feeling that we were about to cop a 4-0 thrashing. It was also odd the way in which the stadium announcer led the cheering for their goal.
I heard your one song a couple of times... they were much the louder group especially in the 1st half

Not entirely awkward. It could simply be a statement about an observation, and there are many circumstances where that could be a very positive observation vs awkward.
