Deny! Deny! Deny!
Moved on to triathlon (Lance TM) with success.
Eventhough he admitted "swimming like a brick".
Same line of defence as Virenque (TM),
heading the national team at World's,
commentating live on French National TV.
So hollow ! -

Dope of the day.

Shame it had to be an Italian in the Giro
Shame it had to happen when it looked like it was getting better
Shame that one positive puts everyone in the peloton in doubt
Shame a rider like him has doped consistently throughout his career and never looked like he would stop.

and yet he continues to ride... hmmm....

Tweet from Lance Armstrong:
Knowing I have 0 cred on the doping issue - I still can't help but think, "really Di Luca? Are you that fucking stupid??"
Lulz.

• #1907
ha, just came to post that. The sweet irony...

Di Luca says he's surprised at the positive EPO test
Much in the same way a bank robber is surprised to suddenly be so rich, I'm sure -
• #1909
Nope, in the same way a bank robber is surprised to be apprehended, charged, convicted and sentenced.

Is there anything you can actually use to boost performance, but that is legal, over the counter and does not have any serious side effects?
I'm currently using beet juice, it's helping a bit but it's best to avoid the toilet.

Yes, it's called training

Offcourse, but I wish to improve my training because I wish to cycle to the south of France and climb the L'Alpe D'Huez.
-
• #1913
Search for threads containing training, there are plenty to choose from. You can ride to, and up, the Alpe on bread and water.

“I just sent a letter to Di Luca. I addressed it C—T, Italy.”
Succinct :-)

I'm currently using beet juice, it's helping a bit but it's best to avoid the toilet.Carbohydrates are proven performance enhancers for extended exercise.
Caffeine is a proven ergogenic aid but may have side effects for some people.
There's evidence for beetroot juice and creatine being legal performance enhancers for different stuff.
Most other stuff is unproven or illegal.

"Mauro Santambrogio was positive to EPO doping control carried out in Naples on May 4 at the end of the first stage of the Tour of Italy."
-
• #1917
oops.
So team management just blaming Di Luca looking a bit more cynical?
-
• #1918
Italian team = all doped to the gills.
-
• #1919
now calling the test result a 'non-negative'
so, 'positive' then?
or just 'flakey'?
-
• #1920
I think it's not positive until B sample is tested. They're supposed to keep details quiet until that happens but that's never happened.
-
• #1921
A sample is still 'not negative' though, doesn't make sense either grammatically or otherwise-they should just say A sample 'lit up like a french nuclear plant' and B sample 'probably the same but let's pretend he's maybe innocent for another two days before shitting on him from a great height'
-
• #1922
Don't forget this is from Stage 1 only; still 3 more weeks of results to come
-
• #1923
Less likely to be taking it on-board during the tour though. Stage 1 should be prime for those that didn't quite get the dosage right.
-
• #1924
Now, when is that plasticizer testing going to come in?

A positive test requires two samples to be positive. Otherwise it's just an adverse finding in one of them. Maybe contamination or non-un-mis-calibrated machine or something.
It'd be simpler if they used my process of detection
Giro, Check
Italian rider, Check
= doping positiveFar cheaper, far less time required. Job done.
:)
Ha, ha.
