  • This is more of a challenge than yesterday's stage - the final few climbs are intended to break up the sprint trains and give attackers a chance. That said, given the weather and the length of the stage, a break might get 10 minutes and not be chased down as everyone knows if it comes to a sprint Cavendish will win, and there are two very tough days in the mountains coming up next.

    Prophets can sometimes get things wrong

    I reckon the other sprinters teams will be too hungry to let a break go too far. Those bumps are a bit Milan San Remo, but they'll fly over them after a steady pull and only let a break get about five or six minutes.

    Hope I'm wrong though! I love drama in the unassuming stages.
