  • True, but if Wiggins rides gingerly it's a stage like this one that has torn the peloton apart in the past.
    Aggressive descending coupled with echolons in the valley bottoms sometimes transforms a tame stage into a game changer. What if Blanco decide to apply pressure for Gessink, splitting the field and driving a group of fifty or so towards that final bump before tear-arsing it to the finish?
    Yesterday was relatively tranquillo - I reckon certain riders will have heard about sniffly Wiggins and decide to attack.

    Look for Cummings hammering it for Cuddles.

    It'll be a snoozefest, enlivened by a comedy sprint at the end where a third of the peleton crash on the rain slicked streets of Treviso.
