A thought, following the Bristol Open. As there weren't suitable spaces for (main) refs at the side of the courts, refs were on court throughout the games.
How do people feel this worked out?
For those of you reffing, did it help or hinder your view of the game?
Players, did the refs get in the way much etc?
It made it obvious when the ref was being pressured by spectators to apply a particular unfamiliar sanction and would then need to confer with said spectators to confirm the rules for said unfamiliar sanction.
