Yes my point is that this thread is being diluted by too many bikes with shiney, expensive parts that are for the most part great bikes, but fall short of being proper HHSBS

He's not trying to kill it, he's trying to make you lot realise the roots of HHSB. There's a fine line between true HHSB and anti-porn. Making a cookie-cutter Leader/Dosnoventa/whatever with thomson seatpost/stem, compact drops, zoncolan saddle and deep wheels isn't HHSB. It's got to be out the ordinary, something different, something ridiculous, but not ugly. It's in the name, being a slave to fashion with aethetics over function.
