indra, super 8 comes rolled in a container, you can take it out, and look at the couple of centimeters of exposed film, if its finished it will have exposed on white text on it, if not it will just be film, put it back in and keep shooting.

Can't be bothered going through the whole thread but I remember someone lamenting the closure of Mr Cad in Croydon. If you go on the website you'll know this but they are just about to open up a new shop in Victoria - at 12 Upper Tachbrook St. I walked by today and it looks jammed with lots of interesting stuff. The bloke says it shoudl be open Friday.

^^^^ presumably you went to Geysir and Thingvellir as well?
I completely failed to catch the feel of the place and want to go back...

Yeah, was a busy trip so only really had one day to sight see - we had an arranged coach take us on the Golden Circle tour.

Provia 400x, Mju II (a combination I'm reluctant to use again). I had planned to put the roll in my yashica but the battery died in the cold and I needed a colour film in a camera and my Mju was the only remaining option.
Some ok shots though - still feels like a waste putting a £10 roll in a £20 camera.

Stunning use of film nefarious. Really skilled. How do you like the RB67. I could never get along with it. Jumped ship to the Bronica ETRS camp.

Cheers. Dunno about really skilled - I just shoot so much that I get lucky ;)
The RB67 is great and terrible. The quality is great, the camera handles well (in a lot of respects) and it's really simple. However, it is massive, heavy, a pain in the arse to fine focus (I need a split prism viewing screen), it is slow to focus and the shutter is occasionally unreliable. The shutter lag is also not great for a lot of stuff.
I had a look at my friend's ETRSi the other day and I was seriously jealous of how much smaller and lighter it is. I do love getting 6x7 negs though.
A lot of people comment on my stubbornness with carrying the RB67 around. It's not that bad once you get used to it and it's hard to leave behind when you think that 35mm won't cut it.
In short, it'd be nice to have something smaller and faster but for now, it definitely does the job.

Does anyone in or near to Stoke Newington have a roll of colour print film I could buy off them before Saturday? Seems it might be difficult to get a dSLR in to the FA Cup final so the Olympus trip is coming out of retirement.
cheers. -

Newb question here.
If I bought a canon eos 5000 35mm film camera would I be able to use the same lenses I have for my little eos 400d?

Yes.

Couldn't get on with direct positive paper so gone back to paper negs and inverting digitally. Might try doing some contact prints next,

Only the lenses with the red dot, not the EF-S lenses such as the 18-55mm with a white dot

Honestly not got a clue, it may already be used and it's just winding on? Best wait for someone else to chime in, like Edward Z
