All conti's feel like shit. ;-)
If you fit Roubaix tyres they'll feel great but probably wont be as reliable on bad roads. Lighter tyres tend to be thinner and softer tyres tend to cut up. If you're riding for 8hrs+ I'd suggest a compromise that means you don't have to carry more than a couple of tubes.
