So, Ryan at oak had a go at figuring out whats wrong with my seat tube on the alan today
turns out the seat tube is for 27.0 posts but someone tried to run a cheap 27.2 tap in and slightly warped the seattube in doing so,
tldr; safe but will have to cut down all seatposts longer than 240mm
