no im not new to the fixed gear scene ive been into them for 4 years and been riding them for over 2½ years, i just said they are similar and because im not a fixed nerd i dont know every make and model and its too late ive got the tattoo.

Does anyone know precisely when the fixie was invented - I have a feeling it was around 2007ish

the Penny Farthing was a fixed gear/fixie. the first bikes were fixed gears before the invention of gears.
