Apparently the section between Bough Beech and Bayleys Hill is in desperate need of repair too. You can always take the next left turn off the B2027 onto Hale Oak Road, then left at the end onto Bowzell Road. This leads you past the usual junction onto Bayleys.

That bit was closed last time I rode through there, although that was about 3 weeks ago. Possibly for repair :)
