It's official, the ankle pain wasnt caused by the shoes exclusively. The new 'proper' running shoes have greatly reduced the effect, but also appear to have spread it; instead of experiencing tenderness and pain in my left ankle, I am now getting an ache in both ankles. It's only a minor issue though, and having just done my first solo run, I'm pretty happy. 4.4km in 27;14. I like. :)
