I've replaced one set of BB30 bearings so am probably not the man to listen to.
Some basics would be:
Get the shell really clean
Grease ALL THE THINGS
Make sure you push the bearings in dead straight
What I found slightly tricky was judging when the bearings were tight enough to the circlips to stop pushing them in, I ended up inspecting the inside of the shell with a torch a few times and finally thought "that looks good enough".
I wish that there was a "proper" way of determining that step.
