Ah nice! I'll have to give it a think, was hoping to use a 700c frame so I could use it as a beater as well though.

No reason why 26"should stop that.
-
• #4682
Added a load of NOS campy, frames and other stuff to my thread, including some cheap ass shoes.
-
• #4683
You moving? Party round your house?
-
• #4684
Aha! Load of stuff clearing out of work, thought I'd stick it on here before 'bay to let people on here get some of the cheap stuff before it goes up.
-
• #4685
Oh, when I said move by the way, I meant that there's so much shit in my room I can't actually move for bike parts, I'm sticking in Manc for now.

Are those Easton forks 1" or 1.125" ?
-
• #4687
Easton forks are 1" 1/8, I've got some 1" carbon bianchi forks which aren't on the thread though.

I recognise all those bike bits from the jumble at pop up on Saturday. Is that going to be a regular thing, or was it just because you needed to shift all this..?
-
• #4689
Dipak said he was going to try and do it once a month.
-
• #4690
Yeah, they're going to try and make it a monthly thing but in terms of the stuff I'm selling on here is stuff we could do with shifting in the next two weeks.
-
• #4691
Be good to have a regular jumble....
-
• #4692
We've got a load of old stuff at A6 that needs getting rid of, will probably be at the next one.
-
• #4693
Keep meaning to visit A6 cycles (I'm working near there for the next few weeks).
WilliamJohn - are you at the old Factory Bike Shop in Prestwich? Apologies if I missed this before!
-
• #4694
We probably don't have much to offer anyone on here, unless you want to laugh at a couple of garish fixehs or need a dirt cheap mtb. It's a low budget place but we're nice
-
• #4695
Yes! Biking Factory Shop on Bury New Rd, I work Saturdays.

^^ my gf likes bike shops where I struggle to spend cash. She'll approve.
^ nice little place

Hello
I'm new to this forum but have been lurking for some time. I've signed up to post this message specifically.
I want to buy a ss bike and I'm based in Manchester. I have no previous experience in bike building and don't know what to look for. I was kinda hoping I could put some details here and someone would either have a bike available to sell or the parts/bulk of the parts for sale. I'll give it a go and you guys can tell me to naff off if you like...Ok here are the must haves:
- steel frame
- fit some who's 6ft 1"
- be upgradable in the future
- within a short drive of Manchester
Here are some nice to haves:
- retro look
- preferably single colour frame
- accept PayPal would be nice (I can pay by credit card then ;-)
- bull bars preferred but I can source my own if not
I guess my budget is around 300 by PayPal or 200 for cash in hand. Would like to buy it in next 3 weeks.
What do you guys think?
Chris (M40)
- steel frame

What sort of bike are you looking for? Geared, single-speed, fixed? I've got a fixed Pinarello conversion that just needs a few bits to get it on the road again (seatpost, saddle, pedals).
-

Hi Landslide
Either single speed or fixed. Not bothered about geared.
How much you want for the Pinarello and what size is it? -
• #4700
57cm square. I'm 6ft and take 32" leg trousers if that helps.
It's currently set up fixed, front brake only, but the rear hub's flip-flop so can take a freewheel too if you so desire. Bars are risers, so I guess you'd want to swap them out.
The frame's a Pinarello Treviso (Columbus SL), but unfortunately when I got it it had been neglected and the chrome and paint were in poor condition. I've since had it stove enamelled in plain red.
Some shoddy pics here: http://s296.photobucket.com/user/LandslideCC/library/Pinarello%20Treviso
I'd like £200 for it, and don't really mind how you pay. If you're interested, I'll get some better pics and some more details for you.
You could out garish Chan for wheels.
