Chung (who did the testing with DC Rainmaker) said on wattage that the PowerCal is better than the Stages.
Thats interesting. I'll have a read of that at some point.
Still havent properly tested the PC yet. The second the weather warmed up the spring storms started. Its trees bent double windy here now.
I really hope I get on with it. I do a lot of training on the fixed, and SS 29er. It would be brilliant if I could log wattage for those too. That, and the price, make the PC potientially an amazing tool.
In the meantime I'm somewhat addicted to my turbo set-up. Seem to push myself so much harder than I do outdoors. But then maybe/hopefully that'll transfer to 'proper' cycing when spring sets in.
Current FTP 2.95 per Kg. Which I guess is a bit 'meh'. But it was probably more like 2.75 barely 2 weeks ago. I've lost a lot of weight, improved cadence, and learnt to maintain a threshold effort. I suspect these things have always been there. I'm a strong fixed road rider, and single speed offroader. I've just always viewed the road bike, as an easy option.
Ultimately I can see myself getting the power2max for my birthday in the summer. Its kinda addictive this power malarkey.
