Big hat to all the marathoners. It continues to boggle my mind how you all get though it. So far beyond my comprehension.
In a bid to not die on my first olympic distance tri in September I've just completed my first (hilly, almost)10k. Waterloo station to the top of Forest Hill via Camberwell Grove. Time was pitiful and my form and speed were laughable by the end. In the context of all the marathon amazingness I realise it's a tiny and rather pathetic achievement.... but I'm rather chuffed with myself. Shattered. Going to lie down now.
