Because this sort of thing drives away traders, who might have nice bikes at decent prices. I'm not defending this guy, I'm defending the fact that its not against the rules or immoral to make a profit from selling a bike on this forum.

Why would it? People who trade at decent rates are always welcomed? Your point makes no sense at all. It's simple really just don't take the piss...

People like Hilary Stone going around the country finding nice things to sell on. They have vast knowledge and can spot the duds from the gems, meaning when they sell something you know exactly what you're getting, and chances are you wouldn't be able to find one if you tried. They make a profit by making it easier for people like us to buy nice bike parts without having to travel all over to different jumbles and researching a whole load.
People like the one who started this thread see a frame on ebay or maarktplaats or whatever, click buy, then when it arrives chuck it back on ebay for twice the price. This is the kind of trade people we don't like here as they're simply profiteering by being the first person to click "buy". Go ahead and do it on ebay, but this is a community forum and we pass along deals. If you get a bargain on a frame on here you're expected to pass that bargain on if you come to sell it.

Hello! The shipping to Indonesia is about 80 EUR, depending on route and insurance value, and whether I can get a package less than 4 or 5 kilos.

I think I'd rather deal with someone shamelessly profiteering (so long as I was prepared to pay the asking price) than I would deal with someone who is too busy 'trawling jumbles' to offer customer service that is better than 1/10.

I put quite little effort in reselling smartly, and today I made 190 GBP on nice Ti frame that I sold. 2 days ago on a lovely NOS DA 7400 shifter I made 60GBP and it went to USA; bought locally for a steal. Think, don't visit jumbles.
