I've got one set of Hollowgram SiSl SRM cranks, and three sets of Rotor (one track, one 3DF and one 3D+ SRM) which are all aluminium, they are all pretty well regarded when it comes to stiffness.
One thing to note is that whilst Cannondale have moved over to carbon fibre for their frames, they are continuing to develop the metal SiSl2 crank with no signs of moving to CF.
