This was technically last weekend, but I only got back to the UK yesterday - a 40 mile ride up the east coast of Lanzarote, from Costa Teguise to Orzola. It's no joke that it's called the Windy Island, mega headwinds as I went north. It was like cycling in perfectly smooth honey. On the turnaround I was literally laughing, everything felt perfectly still, I sat in the biggest ring all the way home and knocked out the last 20 miles in about 45 mins tops - never has a tailwind felt more magnificent. Still, I was happy to do it in about 2 1/2 considering all the cocktails and pooltime with my new wife! http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2388573
