  • Here's one i wonder about often.

    The hooking rule....

The other day i hit todd in the face (gently, he's ok). My swing is getting a bit silly but it wasnt a swing that got him, he was hooking (cleverly) my mallet and i moved it back to get it outta the way then i think somehow they got a little caught up and i hit him.

This has happened to me recently too, where i was being hooked (not so cleverly as todd was hooking me...) and i moved my mallet out of the way and got hit in the face (pretty gently again)....not to mention the times that i am sure i have done it are countless

It seems there might be a theme..

I'd like us to all just stop hooking, but we all do it to different extremes perhaps.

I think that hooking where it replaces any attempt to play the ball i.e. playing the mallet first, could be ruled out of the game and stop this kind of messy shit from happening and bring it back to ball play.

Hacking is different imo, but repeated hooking seems almost more destructive (to faces at least and to the game).

Maybe this has been discussed before, i don't keep track of this stuff, but i wondered what other people thought.
