If you're still happy to do this, when shall i meet you?
You're quite welcome to the money from the sale for the hassle, i'm more interested in clearing stuff out of my for sale box.
I was planning on early night tonignt but only just got home at 4am.
I've been trying to reply to this thread at several parties including one that had a rabbit roaming around terrifying a cat. -

^ That there benjaminbunny has started this thread. Granted it's a Satuday and not a Friday but who's in?
-
• #1929
Just posted in that thread. Strongly considering it, but haven't ridden long distances in ages, how hard would you rate it Jules?
-
• #1930
Not that hard surprisingly.
It was about 7 hours rolling time (46x18 SS) but it was a glorious sunny, hot day and I took my time and enjoyed it. Might be a bit more of a push fixed but other than a few hills on the coast it's mostly flat. -

Just ran that gearing through Sheldon Brown, and it's a bit less than my 44x16, but if it's mostly flat I'd probably be ok with that. Any long stretches uphill and I find even gears in the low 70s start to really burn though, and there's only so much mashing you can do over 100 miles!

I did pass some guy from London last year grinding up the coast hills on some big arse gear. Think I annoyed him by bouncing alongside him chatting away on my spinney gear. He left me for dust later on a flat bit tho'.

Hahaha, yeah i died toward the end on my Dolan. Think I was pushing 48x16.

• #1934
Plenty of people ride it without gears. I'm not one of them.

Anyone have a B road route from Norwich to Lowestoft I can have?
-
• #1936
'fraid not. Never ventured down that way myself. I can get you to Caistor :-)
-
• #1937
No worries, I googled it and realised that I have done about 80% of it before on one of my "ride in any direction and see where I end up" rides.

Anyone fancy a ride this Friday? Was thinking of a trip to Reedham & back with obligatory pint in the middle.
