• There's nothing wrong with making a profit. If you buy something for a price that the seller is happy with, then you sell it for a higher price that the new buyer is happy to pay, there is nothing wrong with that. I think the price is a little high, but whatever price someone is willing to pay, is the price it is worth.

    Every single business that sells a physical product works like this. You wouldn't post on Hilary Stone's threads pointing out how much he paid for a bike he was selling? I guess the only difference is we all know Hilary's is a business. Perhaps people who are selling something on here as a trader should say they are a trader, if we don't already know...

    The forum is a great place to find and sell nice bikes; I've bought AND sold bikes and parts here, the bikes I've sold very often i spent hours tracking down, dealing with all the unseen stuff, missing parts that are expensive to replace, stuck posts, wheel and headset bearing replacements, chains etc etc, plus a lot of sympathetic restoration; it's very absorbing and rewarding hobby, some sales you make a bit on which is fair enough, but it wouldn't survive a day as a business if I counted half of the time spent!
