"Enjoy your wank mate." .
Hahaha!!

Humpbacked Wail nodder RLJing down by New Cross Sainsbury's and undertaking me very closely just as the lights changed. As I put my weight down on the non-drive side to start the little uphill there, I moved ever so slightly to the left and into his path causing him to clip me and crash off his bike. He wasn't going too fast but it winded him a bit. He shouted some abuse and said I should watch where I was going. There were too many things to say to him really so I opted for "Enjoy your wank mate." and then carried on my journey home. I feel I have succeeded at life a bit.
So you cut him up?

lol
No. Not deliberately. -
• #205
Anybody undertaking another cyclist at close range deserves to be cut, fam. Or at the very least kidney-punched until they fall off.

Nice.

Ok, so I’d like peoples view on the following scenario…
You’re riding along and sense a fellow rider on your wheel. They move out to overtake you however they not travelling fast enough to make it quick and decisive. You slow down once they're alongside as they start pulling in across you. Once in front they slow forcing you to reduce the pace you were at before they overtook. You are then forced to either stay at that pace or re-overtake...
Should you get annoyed or should you just get on with it?

However you choose to respond, starting a new thread is not the answer.

If this comment is aimed at me apologies... I was genuinely wanting to see people's view separate to other discussions..

As soon as they move out and in to the wind...

• #212
To be fair, the search function here is pretty crap.
-
• #213
Rubbish. There's hundreds of threads about riding technique, etiquette, etc.
-
• #214
Okay, does it directed to this topic that you've moved it to then?
-
• #215
actually when you add words to the title of a new thread it posts details of other threads which may be similar. I checked these and they didn't contain what I was wanting to ask... again my apologies...
-
• #216
So how the fuck are you supposed to find the right one?
If in doubt, new thread. end of.
You use the mushy substance between your ears.

Sit on their wheel for 30 seconds, take a breather before leaving them in your wake.
Or speed up so they have to drop back. Depends on how fast you are going when they attempt to overtake you -

Tuck in behind them.
Rest.
Then fly past them, while picking your nose.

I like the responses... thanks..

But if nobody ever made new threads, you'd have nothing to do.

What's to get annoyed about? He slowed to the pace you were travelling at anyway so he hasn't held you up any. If someone is that desperate to get in front of me then I will accept the free tow to work and be happy that I have arrived just that little bit less sweaty, thank you very much.

• #223
The only problem is that once he's in the front, you're no longer pushing against the wind.
Still just drop back a bit and stay in his shadow like everyone else said.
-
• #224
If you are going to re-overtake make sure you make it stick, otherwise just sit back and let them do the hard work.
-
• #225
Who's scared of hard work? Just overtake, ride at the pace you want to and HTFU. Bit of a trivial episode to whinge about.
