That's not the bit we tagged at all! There's no crash barrier, and the track nearest to the fence is electrified. I'm fairly sure the Eurostar power car we tagged is there all the time, probably as a hot spare.

It's an electric train so it needs to be shunted in and out of the siding given the lack of overhead power.

I'm sure it wasn't there. Isn't the spot you tagged just to the left behind the sign in the picture? I have to admit that I didn't clock that when I tagged it--that I then took another picture slightly further north was mainly laziness, as I was already on the northbound side of the road. I wouldn't insist on getting the exact bit of fence right. As you say, it's very long.
