A taxi was honking me last week, as I followed a bus in primary. I ignored him for a while; there was nowhere for him to go even if he got past.
A couple of hundred yards later, when we got to some lights, he pulled alongside and let me know that something had bounced off my bike when I hit a pothole. Bugger, my Garmin Forerunner had disappeared. I shot back, and found it balancing on a drain cover at the roadside.
I wish I'd had time to thank him properly. Cab drivers aren't all bad, at least in Edinburgh!
