Who was on the pretty large TI fixed with American classic 420 wheels, bulls and a front brake?
Wanted to congratulate you on the awesomeness of it but was too tired.
Ah, it's bloody lovely!
Cheers mate. Glad you like it. It's my pride and joy. Yesterday was the perfect day to take it out.
BTW was well impressed with your brakeless descent of the back of Canonbie.

Thanks man, I was impressed by HoKe's descending and ascending on 86GI!

It was great to meet so many people from this forum - which is really important to TLC running every year. The enthusiasm brought to bear from LFGSS make the ride what it is.
Massive thanks to Zebracyclist and his gang of sign uppers - you did sterling work and it was a great thing to cross Waterloo bridge at 7pm on Saturday and see someone had put an arrow up on the north side of the Strand. Would you believe the first year 3 people put up over 200 signs(!) We can't do the ride without great volunteers and thats what we got.
Thanks also to almac and Rod Munch for taking signs down yesterday and today. JAH Tim is I'm sure responsible for the weather being so good, his positivity on this thread from the start has lifted me at the key times when I was under stress trying to sort things out - thanks sir you are a gent.
Next year will be our 5th anniversay - we welcome all suggestions on the ride and try and incorporate as many as is practical, keep the feedback coming.
cheers
Dave

I just realised that I forgot to collect my t shirt :(
Is there any chance there's still one?I think we have possibly 2 XLs left....I will check. If not we will have to think of another way to say thank you for your help.

An XL is good by me :)
There's no need to thank, it's good to help out and say I had a little part of what was a great day :) T shirt is just a nice memory.
Thanks again for all the organising.

And chapeau to Gareth and daughter! You were the pair on the yellow tandem yeah? With sorta modified double cranks for the shorter legged stoker?
Thanks Poots, that was indeed us- who were you, did you
Have the tattoo arm warmers my stoker was fascinated/scared by? We had a fab day - thanks to all... I stopped suddenly on Fox Hill and stoker complained as she bumped her bars- she complained more loudly when I declared we were going to walk, used the word quitter and 'in my opinion' bullied me into restating on a 1:5 gradient which we climbed together- shat a six year old! (*proud dad moment*) -

^^ Or "Dad", as I like to call him (he's not my dad).
I thought we agreed no posting on the forum until you had tidied your room and done your home work?
I'm not amused, young lady...

• #1016
Yes, I heard someone call him Bernie.
Hello Bernie.
And hello to you as well mister.
A fantastic day in the finest of company, with friends old and new.
The organisers and volunteers certainly earned their round of applause at the end, as did the wonderful staff at the pub.
Until the next time.

I could have done with Little Miss when I tackled Canonbie. On foot. Excellent work little'un!

Hi Dave,
Thanks again to TLC from me and my girlfriend. It was a fantastically run event.
My only feedback would be keep doing what you're doing.
As far as the route goes I was a bit confused as we snaked through some bits in the East End/Rotherhithe but I guess this was to incorporate as many cobbles as possible. Maybe tell people in advance that the route might not be the most "direct" and to expect some switchbacks.
But mainly thanks and next year I'll volunteer to help.

Greetings Dimi,
Please put £1 in the swear box, or better still give it to The Evelina Childrens Hospital. and leave such language out of this thread...
