Anyone know if a precursa or track champion will take a 28mm tyre?
wanting to use it for grass track as well as velodrome and need the frame to take a 28mm and will pop a road fork on it for more control.

Can I put my Dolan in here? It's not a Pre Cursa or a Track Champ, but it is an alloy track bike. It's a bit older than those two, and I don't think they were sold in the same numbers. I've seen two others out and about in London but that's it. They may have been made for the Manchester Velodrome or the young GB development riders there as that's the only time I've seen pictures of them.
I've been using this bike a lot on the roads over winter but now it's back in track mode.
(last year)
It's a very light bike considering what it's made of and the wheels on it, I really like it.

TC looks great in white.
Put Strong Light crankset on my 58 Pre Cursa with 107mm BB without any issue. In case anyone is still curious from previous discussion up the thread.

Has anyone fitted Alpina CX forks to their PC? I want to run a cantilever front brake and thought these would do the trick. Not sure if the difference in rake would cause any issues?

Should be fine, slight increase in height simply relaxed the head/seat tube angle more that's closer to a road bike than track.
Your only concern is merely the bottom bracket height being slightly higher.

Higher is good.

Open your third eye.
OK whilst attempting to insert a 110mm Shimano BB on my Pre Cursa I managed to erm... cross thread it and now it is well stuck. $hit, $hit chit! This one is having to go to the shop for an embarrassing extraction and here's hoping that the threads weren't totally screwed in the process. The funny thing is that the BB went in without too much difficulty and only got "tight" after a dozen or so turns, it went in a good way and won't come out, 8ollox!
I think my Dolan should have been called Pre Cursed - might have to bury it far away and cut my losses.

Or just fit a threadless bottom bracket.
