  • The fat bike looks pimp!

Had a chilled ride out on the Mielec in the Dorset countryside with my bro today:

  • noice! lovely build!

  • Nice! Where abouts in Dorset? The second photo looks a little like Hengistbury Head sort of way but I could be totally wrong! I'm in Bournemouth, let me know if you fancy a cheeky Mielec v Dorset ride!

  • Mmmkay. So this is my Mielec build. He swapped the measurements of the seat tube and top tube. Should have been 10mm shorter and 10mm higher. Still its a fucking great frame. Stiff like a bulls di.. Love it. even though it looks a bit too much like a Mash... 75* seat tube 77* head tube.

  • awesome! I like it.

  • Really nice! Which size?

Looks too much like a MASH? Isn't it a MASH copy?!

Desticker the wheels and we have a winner...

57.5 seat tube, 58 top tube

Fuck NO, it ain't no Mash copy! wasn't supposed to anyways. But Robert seems to weld all of the frames like mash copies.. I'll probably desticker the wheels a rainy day or so.

  • Who's is that?
Now I know I'm not one to talk about seatpost but...
If the order is already as custom as that then why not get it made to fit you?

Haha I had not finished building it at that time so I had not bothered with adjusting the seatpost and so on ;)

  • Looks more like that now

The go was very much inspired by the cervelo T1 and I did not order it. It was a custom order from Alex who's a friend of mine and as tall as I am ;)

  • Geo* srry...

  • ^^ best hhsbmielec frameset yet.

  • aint the stays just like the old ones? Just the fork ends changed

  • Craignasty's?

Aye, looks like his 'Dale and my old mash got freaky...

    what exactly do you mean?

    What exactly do *you *mean?

  • look at negaatio's post above..

  • aint the stays just like the old ones? Just the fork ends changed

    The stays are definitely slimmer.

  • ah, the chainstays.. true.

  • the chainstays are now actually chainstays, instead of pipes.

Out to Corfe Castle>Studland>Chain Ferry to Sandbanks and home.
The first pic is inbetween Corfe and Studland, second is just before the chain ferry.

I came back to London last weds, but can give you a shout if I'm down in the next few weeks!

  • Hey guys, I'm in the process of building up my mielec at the moment and have just hit a small problem I've got a set of miche primato advanced cranks to go on it so for simplicities sake I just got a miche bottom bracket to go along with them. I assumed that a 107mm axle length would be long enough but when I fitted the cranks it definetely wasn't, so I was wondering has anyone else used these cranks with one of these frames, and if so what length bb axle did you use? Also if I get a bottom bracket with a longer axle say 113mm will I be still be able to get a good chainline? (the hubs on my wheels are v-sprints miche primatos btw) I'd appreciate any advice as I know this is a bit of a noob question, thanks!

  • I think these require 109mm or longer mate.
its also ISO for the record:)
