Of the history, all I know is that they belonged to a guy who rode seriously (track and road) from the 50s to the 70s. His widow sold his remaining two bikes (note to self: women sell your stuff when you die), the other being a Holdsworth track machine. Given there's an element of doubt about the overall quality of the thing, ebay seems the better option.
