  • Thanks guys, but no puppy killing was nescessary. (a matching roadie would be a blast, Erik, can't justify one just now, though.;) )

Haven't bonded it yet, trying to think up a simple jig to hold the headtube laterally straight.

    So hot.

  • Just change that saddle

Oh Dwight.. What's wrong with the saddle, though? I like the 80s/90s vibe to it, which suits the vitus, too, well, In my opinion.

  • Saddle is perfect.

Still think forks are back to front.

    Just need some decals!

  • Okey, okey, I just needed to mention some imperfection, cause I'm so jealous :) For the saddle I just dont like that little yellow accent, maybe the flite or concor supercorsa without bright colors would fit better ?

  • This bike is totally amazing..

Still think forks are back to front.

I just noticed this too.. It must be optical illusion though?

Oh and I love the 6 spoke rear ;)

Just for the two of you,
    ;-)
the wonky rear wheel is just for proping purposes until a proper holed archetype arrives

Thanks, but I'm way ahead of you.:D the yellow accent is intended, as I'll be putting yellow vitus decals on it once finished with the frame repair.

  • Im disarmed.

  • Bang thats right

  • Looks amazing, should leave the top tube bare, looks good!

  • thanks, will do! It's not finished, but at least rideable, had its maiden voyage today and it was a blast.

  • I really like the flow of silver from rear triangle through top tube and forks....

  • Looks sick , any trouble getting the top tube machined

  • Awe-some!

  • Thats some chainring.

Top tube needs wrap/anodising in fade of pink/yellow.

EDIT. Added potatoshop. (Getting carried away) :oP

  • What a fucking beautiful bike

  • What a crazy project. Well done it looks amazing.

  • Stunning, it turned out amazing. :) How did you manage to fit the top tube in the end?

  • Absolutely beautiful with the bar-tape (well, kind of) in that colour.

I think if you got a Concor saddle in black suede, had bar-tape that colour and got a black front tub, that would be one of the most beautiful track bike ever

  • i think thats perfect as it is. (bar the extra spokes) clearance is also not as mental anymore because of the additton of the tt.. clappingmoustacheguyintuxedo.gif

  • Thanks for the kind words, I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I'm not very competent to answer this as I didn't do it myself, but the metal shop told me it was a bit tricky to set up the lathe because of the small inside diameter of the tubing stock.

Hah, the gradient is a bit too much for my liking, however I originally intended to get the tt anodised, but the cost of it and a few potatoshops made me decide otherwise, it seems I'm not the only one who digs the silver toptube, though.:)

Stunning, it turned out amazing. :) How did you manage to fit the top tube in the end?

Well, I got away without a jig, as the joints were a pretty close fit, so I just aligned the headtube parallel to the seattube with a digital bubble level and clamped that sucker. Was a bit anxious for the whole curing time that I may have fucked up, but the frame is true and rides straight which was a major relief.:)

I haven't found a matching shade anywhere so I just went for black as IMO anything but a perfect matching purple would look shit.

Well, getting some decals made tomorrow so the end is in sight, however I'm having doubts regarding tires:
Should I get a gumwall (pasela or that shitty BLB) for the rear or a black front?

Nevermind bar angle and slack chain.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

p.s. What is a front rim?

  • Absolutely stunning. Great work!

  • ^^ Thanks, it's a Fir EA10

  • Gummies pls
