Finally finished the Look 595 so decided it was a good chance to act like the mamil in training that i am, and try Richmond park laps for the first time. Had a tailwind on the way there which caused me to feel confident i could break the hour mark for three laps. As soon as i started the laps and got a face full of wind i soon lost this notion, but carried on to see how slow i was. Felt reasonably good for a person who hasn't done any cycling all winter and really enjoyed the Look, as i haven't ridden gears for a year or so. Few issues with the indexing which is hopefully just from cable stretch. In the end i accidently stopped early as i thought i'd completed the three before realising i definitely hadn't; and had stopped about half a mile before the end. would have been a few minutes over the hour mark anyway.
The ride home in to the headwind and not having eaten any food wasn't a highlight.
