So... not sure if this is the right thread (although it appears to be), nor if this is blasphemy, but I just bought a KG271 frame (with the adjustable vertical dropouts), and was thinking of building it up as a fixed gear. Thing is, the guy at the local shop, who generally sounds like he knows his stuff, says that the weave of the carbon fiber isn't meant for the backwards pressure in the chainstays and could snap. BS?
