As I neared my office at 06:20 this morning I saw the first traces of dawn, and it filled me with joy to think the end of darkness is upon us. But that wind can >>>>

the ride home at midnight last night from clerkenwell to morden was easily the most physically taxing ride I think I've ever done, including my 30th birthday ride to brighton on an epic hangover and no sleep.
i left the pub at midnight and bearing in mind it took me 45 minutes to ride in that morning in traffic, the ride home took me 1h 15m and the roads were pretty much clear.
the wind was hitting me head on for almost the entire ride and was pushing me backwards so much even going down balham hill i had to get out of the saddle to try and build some momentum up. it was like someone had changed my gearing to something ridiculous.
didn't record the ride but i wish i had, i reckon my avg speed was between 8 and 9mph and there were only a handful of lights that i hit.
fucking. wind.

It snowed overnight, and most of today, here in Coventry. This is good - I have spent a good portion of my day standing on my balcony and laughing at all the BMW-driving wankers spin their cars through 180 degrees turning into, or out of, the gateway.
Ride tomorrow cancelled, though. Might take the MTB round the park a few times.

So the tyre tracks going down the path from the cars early this morning froze meaning my skinny road tyres kept bouncing off and skipping over the ice peaks they'd created. Fun. Then my back wheel lost traction entirely going up the bridge on a compacted snow patch. I just want summer please.

Had to break out the overshoes just to get into town yesterday :/
How rude, implying that she was touching herself in public.
