theres a guy i keep seeing in the morning on holloway road riding an old decathlon hybrid/mtb thing whose driveside crank is so loose its pretty much held on by the chain and FD, its a literal death trap but seems to have lasted the last few weeks of seeing him every few days.. ive said to him numerous times that really needs fixing and his reply is always 'yeah i know aha, will do it after work' we ride past a CS thats open from 8am as well
fair enough for him to put himself in danger but if that crank comes off when he's surrounded by 15 other cyclists like there is most mornings theres a huge pileup just waiting to happen
