I want to build up a fastish steel road bike. So far, I've looked at All City Mr Pink, All City Macho Man, Surly Pacer and TFG Wide Open.

Can anyone think of any other similar frames? Want to look at as many options as possible. Ideally budget would be around £500 for f+f if purchasing new.

Did this ever get resolved?

Haven't read the thread for a while and it was interesting reading through the various responses, including the carbon suggestions. From the frames you listed you seem to be after more of an all-rounder / audax style frame. At the moment I can't really think of any obvious carbon option that fall into that category and your price.

Personally, I'd go for the All City Mr Pink, as (1) it seems to be more of a road bike, (2) has practical features and (3) looks good.
