New tat from Jack at Nine Studios in Brighton. 4-ish hours. Can't see the lovely maple seeds on the inner arm...
Color to go in next month. EEEEE!! This sucker has been four years in the making.
Looks absolutely stunning, what colour are you adding? Looks super in black!

Thank you! Branches to stay gray, bird is mostly greys, blacks, white and some slate blue with a flash of reddish orange under the wing. Not sure about the maple seeds but probably lots of red/pink/orange/yellow to go with the maple flower at the top, which are often a pale salmon-y color with bright reddish pink stamen topped by yellow anthers.
I have been trying to get grayscale for years but always end up going for color. I'm a colorful girl, I need the color. : )
This was done yesterday evening and I've been using Lush's Superbalm at Object's suggestion and it has not itched at all. Just a little irritable in the few places that had more depth of color done on them or were in super sensitive places. There are a couple of branches around the back and some seeds on the inner arm near the elbow. Ouch! All the rest of it was pretty straight forward.

Nice tattoo Jenne!

^^^ Looks lovely, really like the style and the lack of solid outlines. Looking forward to seeing it finished!
I've got my own planned which has been on the books for about the same length of time, which I'm finally ready to start looking for artists for. I'll be keeping an eye on it for style inspiration if that is okay? -

When? I need to follow her.
I really love it, as she -the girl in the tattoo- looks like a little boy and is a bit dark skinned like cisco. -

She posted it yesterday, she is really cool, I've never been tattooed by her but have been tattooed by her partner Stewart and she's been there while I've been tattooed.
My arm is tricky to take a photo of but I'll ask my gf to be my lovely assistant later. I have a session with Oliver this Saturday to get another mandala on my forearm.

are you going to ladies drinks?
I can't understand this instagram thing -
• #6968
Yeah I am, that's easier than taking a photo, I can show you my work then and show you instagram if you want!

Cool I found her now but is private, lets hope that she accepts me :)
Yes I want to see your work. I saw a picture on this thread I think but is not the same -
• #6970
She had a lot of problems with people stealing her images and trying to pass them off as their own work so that's probably why it's private. She says she's only accepting follow requests from friends but you've been tattooed by her so maybe she will accept? (I'm not her "friend" but maybe she knows me from the shop).

jayloo, that's really awesome, it doesn't even need any colour.
Give it a week or so for the itching, once it's scabbed a bit. Should pass in a few days after that. -

Anyone got Dom Holmes' new book? The Painted Lady it's called.
Anyhow, the feet on the back are ParryWifes, also her calves are in the book.
She is rather pleased, and I am sharing her joy.
