Anti weight-weenie, well, you did ask!
Now that Humber is a proper bicycle, I remember when we used to ride 90 miles to the Wobbly Wheelers 10 Mile Time Trial and back before breakfast, now, let me tell you young man Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I've owned the Humber for about 15 years, it belonged to my wife's aunt who bought it new. I used to take my dog for a run with me on the Humber, I could just outpace him and no more on it
No. They can stay. Please.
Glad you like it

So that you could tape the bars and fit some pedals?

'Stupid light' has always been with us, there used to be Columbus tubes which bent if you looked at them in a funny way and Mavic GEL 280 rims weighed (surprisingly) 280g and were made of damp spaghetti. A mechanic friend of mine has told me there's been a recent spate of Cervelos breaking. Lighter is not always better.........
I heard of ABC from an American bike shop
Another Broken Cervelo.
I think it was mostly in relation to their bottom bracket inserts. -

I thought it was meant to look like that

Maybe so, but it was never meant to have the front QR lever on the wrong side

I was taking the piss out of my own age, not your Humber, if you train really hard you may yet replace the electric hare at Catford dogs...

Urgh, I hate those ghetto single speeds where they just rip the derailleur off. Plus slack chain >>>>>>

Do rim brakes even work in those kind of conditions?
-
• #74716
I doubt it.
I've done similar a few times. But my rear mech seem to always enter my rear wheel, and eat half the spokes.
Needs moar devistation.

Hah, no, but in those conditions just a quick foot dab on approach will slow you enough for cornering.
The yellow IF is very tasty - I want, but I'd crash and break.
