Charity sponsorships... Fucking hate it when (undoubtedly well meaning) work colleagues ask you to sponsor their "no real effort" charity event.
A couple of weeks ago I sponsored a group of women at work £50 each for "defying the elements" on a so-called "charity hike" in support of some cancer charity or other. Turns out they drove to the countryside somewhere and walked 3 miles to a country pub for lunch before heading back to their cars.
Happy to support the fight against cancer or whatever... By all means please feel free to ask for a donation, or simply tell it as it is. But please don't try to pretend and pass on a girly day out as a charity fundraising event.
