I can't wait to get to the shop now and give them ago, I already have clipless pedals and shoes for my fixed so I'm gonna just swap them over I think and then get a set of strapped pedals for the fixed gear. Not sure what to spend the £50 on though?!

Check the Specialized Align helmet, it's a good place to start, and remember, fit is important as everyone head is very different, a large Specialized may fit as well as a medium Giro.

Hi all I am wanting to buy a road bike mainly to do London to Brighton for charity but would like to get into road riding.
My advice would be to get a well known bike that will be easy to sell on in 6 months time when you want to upgrade to some new carbon goodness. My first road bike a few years back was an end of season basic model Giant. I sold it a year later for almost what I paid for it when I upgraded.
Some useful advice on this thread bikeradar >>> -

These look to be almost identical to a friend's Gios branded bike. His also has an aero carbon seattube centre section, otherwise identical. I'm certain they were from the same factory, they're probably the same geometry.
He's just replaced his but it was a good bike and he had no problems at all. It got heavy racing/training use and didn't fall to pieces. Not really any lighter than top alloy frames but interesting looking in the flesh.

See with compact geo you can't rest your cock on the tt when taking a natural break.

Just what I was after. Thanks

all that money on the Supersix and he puts a mtb seatpost / stem on it? :(

I dislike the re-branding of the SRAM Red crank, too. If you want a crank that says Cannondale on it, just get some Hollowgrams.

I was thinking to get a serious carbon road bike in the near future. At the moment I have two options Canyon Aeroad CF 7.0 (Ultegra) or Planet X N2A (Sram Red). Both in region of 2.5k. Which one and is there better options?

Canyon. Never a planet x at that price point.
cheap bicycle does come with pedals, the higher end one doesn't.
