Mands, if you can wait for about a week I can ask the shop if they can get some.
Mine are purple but don't look girly, just badass especially where the anodising is worn from bouncing off shit.

Yeah cool ask! Thanks. How's NO?

Pretty sick, did some 3's today but took a big gash out of my board and hurt my shoulder trying to boardslide a little waist high fence, I tore a nail out of it, bent it and ended up flipping onto it with my shoulder.

Flying with a board bag for the first time tomorrow and my girl friends suddenly making me prang.
I have packed all my stuff into my board bag, so I just have a hand luggage/rucksack and a massive stuffed heavy board bag with everything in.
1) is this normal?
2) will there be a weight restriction on my board bag?Cheers.

By the way this is my board bag:
-
• #516
1) Yes
2) No, unless you have filled it with lead... (I have carried multiple boards in one bag and they've paid no attention to the weight) -
• #517
There are weight restrictions!
With Norwegian it's 20kg but with BA I think it's 23kg.
I had 3 boards and 2 pairs of bindings in mins and it was under though. -
• #518
Cheers - that's really helpful!
So I'm probably over. At a guess I'd say its around the 35kg mark.
I guess the best bet is to call the airline first thing tomorrow and then take a second bag if needed.
This is a bit of a PITA. Driving and the Eurostar definitely have their advantages. The main pain for me now is I packed all my stuff very carefully around the board to help protect it.... So I've got to rethink the whole system. Thank god I missions it over to my GF's rather than just meeting her at the station.

Don't you have a baggage scales?
They only cost a fiver but will save you money in the long run. -

I'm surprised you'd be able to get 35kg in a bag that size. I had a bigger bag than that, stuffed full, that only weighed 22kg - and another that had 2 boards in that weighed 26kg. Easyjet said they were only weighing them for security reasons rather than because of any restrictions.
I've flown about 20 times with this amount and weight has never been mentioned by any of the airlines. Maybe I've just been lucky though... :S
*just checked and apparently the Easyjet limit is 32kg - so I'd be surprised if any other airlines were less than that, and I doubt you could get 32kg+ in that bag! This is based on the assumption you have paid for board bag/sports equipment...

I'm on a flight now! :)
Get a better padded bag and you won't worry about the board and another bag.
Mine is heavy but computer says 19.5kgs!La plagne here I come!!

Nope, other airlines are less than that and we've been made to re-pack more than once.

Cheers.
We're going with Thomson and I've got a max of 25kg... now in a less paniced mode I think that I'm under that. Either way I've put my boots, electrical plugs etc, and heavy clothes into a hand luggage size bag I'll just check in. I've got my backpack to shift stuff to if I need.
Funily enough I've got two sets of scales. Both are at mine. Even worse is that I took one set out of my bag before packing.

Just stick your foot under one end of the board bag when they put it on the scales, I got 35kg through on Air Canada's 23kg limit twice in Jan.

Also remember that if there is a bunch of you traveling together one option is to give heavy stuff to a mate before going to check in. The airline will weigh your board bag at the usual check in desk and affix baggage labels. But they will then tell you to cart it half way across the check in area to the outsize baggage point. En route put heavy stuff back in. All they ever do at outsize baggage is check your boarding pass and baggage labels. Problem solved.
Thoughts would be appreciated on this Capita HORROSCOPE
Once again, can't find Unions in a small which aren't white and girly - ugh.
Second season I been trying to find and no luck.
