  • Jim1985, I have done what you are doing now. Going from a slight heel strike to now landing more on the ball of my foot, with just my heels 'touching' the ground. It takes a while to get used to get worth it. I ache far less now after longer runs and recover much quicker. For road running, I wear Brooks Green Silence and for trails I wear New Balance MT110. Both of these can be picked up for about £30 online so if they don't suit they can be used for casual shoes.
