Not sure if I am missing a gag / other reference, but if you are referring to route sheets, then I have taken to using this for all route sheets:

I print or photocopy onto it to make indestructible sheets for rides. For best results, a bit of prep is required. Depending on your preferred size, 2 A4 sheets can be reduced to half size or 4 sides reduced to generate small quarter pages. A bit of cutting later and you are good to go.
