I switched from pave's to rubinos 25's on the winter wheels at Christmas - there is hardly any noticeable difference in grip, even in the wet. They are a harsher and roll a bit slower, but I can run them at lower pressure and they cost 17 quid each, as opposed to 36 for pave's. No punctures yet either, and no noticeable cuts.
