It's a totally different type of tyre. The Maxxis is much tougher – it's a commuting tyre whilst the PR is a race tyre. The michelins would probably die quite quickly on city streets just like any soft, high tpi race tyre.
I'm using rubinos in the wet now. Grip isn't anything special but they last, are cheap, feel good and I can put a 28 on the back and run 70psi in both tyres.
