  • Re: bartape overlap, I hope this gives you some idea how much overlap you can get away with. You can make out the edge of the tape underneath the top layer:

    I notice you've used tape with perforations (Fizik??) I find you can use the edge of the perforations as a good guide for alignment, i.e. line up the edge of the next wrap just outside the perforations on the last wrap, if that makes any sense?

    I also think duct tape/insulation tape makes perfect end tape (as above), and you just need a single width for a neat finish.
