  • Could do with a DID or Izumi to make it a full NJS drivetrain.

  • I'm going to be using a brake to go to HH though. It's for the track not tarck. Honest.

48x14 isn't really good brakeless on the mean streets of Dalston.

    Ah. No double fixed?

Bit big if you're going at novice session speed?

Fair enough, I'll probably be on 51x16.

I'm inspired but enough braking surface already, get some 88mm clinchers on there ;)

true bu then I wouldnt be able to fit the most badass stem ever made

  • Oh that one...

You said it was a track bike and not a tarck bike. Get an Izumi Standard on there and it'll be fine. NJS chains have jumped up in price hugely. I got a DID Racing Pro for £22 2 years ago and now it lives on my Dawes Kingpin shopper. Got an Izumi Standard for £12 and the difference between the chains new really isn't noticeable.

  • I did say it was a track bike. Just that I was running Japanese stuff on there in response to 1000aa's comment about the Sugino cranks, cog and Dura Ace lockring. I then retorted by saying that I could make it a fully NJS drivetrain by putting a DID or Izumi chain on.

I'm quite happy with the KMC chain on there at the moment. I have run KMC chains for years and never had any issues with them. I have however had a standard Izumi Standard chain stretch like a mofo after a month or two use, not impressed.

  • I've done some hilly rides on my black izumi track and it's still pretty tight? It's what's on the Condor...
